Visual Impairment North East has produced this regional directory with the aim of providing a comprehensive list of services available for people with a visual impairment within the region. We hope it will prove useful to those staff who work within the field of visual impairment and those people who are visually impaired. The aim being to improve the channels of communication and to raise the level of awareness about the availability of services.

We wish to thank everyone who has contributed towards the regional directory. We apologise to anyone who has been omitted in this ninth edition, you are either not known to us or your authority or region have failed to reply to our questionnaire.
